60 Sacks of Sediment Dredged from Beton River

As many as 60 sacks of sediment mixed with trash were dredged from Beton River, Tangki Urban Village, West Jakarta. It is as anticipation before rainy season, so that the Ciliwung Rivulet capacity would be increased.

"It has been dredged since yesterday," said Tangki Urban Village Head, Suhardin, Wednesday (10/28).

According to him, the rivulet has not been dredged for long time. So that it was shallowing and the capacity decreased.

"While waiting for sheet pile installati on, all we can do is dredging the sediment to increase the water capacity," he uttered.

He continued, as many as 40 Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers are deployed to the field. "Hopefully, there would be no more overflowing when rainy season," he hoped.
